Black History Month

It is Black History Month, a time when we celebrate all the incredible achievements of African Americans, not only in our country but around the world.

It's always a wonderful time of year for everyone to come together and talk about the contributions and accomplishments of African Americans over the last 400 years. It's the kind of fuel that has inspired so many of us to keep pushing and changing the narrative.

Many African Americans have taken on the role of entrepreneurs, especially African American Women. According to The Guidant Report, more African American women own small businesses than the general business owner population. In the U.S. small business world, 27% of small businesses are women; 35% of African American businesses are women.

Black History Month shows us that every day given to us should not be taken for granted. Without those who have paved the way for us, we would not be able to continue to create some of the things we do today. Things may not be exactly the way we planned, but we've come too far and cannot give up.

Until next time, take care, be well and continue to #ROCKon
