Children

New Jack Jingle Jam and Toy Drive

Something happens when we take a moment to give especially to children.

Real Chicks Rock!™ was honored to collaborate this past weekend with Shuffle and Repeat for their New Jack Swing Toy Drive.  It was rescheduled due to snow in Atlanta 2 weeks ago, which made it more exciting as the event was held with only 2 days before Christmas.  The room was filled with good music, good vibes and good times.  At the end of the event, several toys were collected and some sacrificed coming out when they were not feeling their best.  We appreciate that kind of dedication and support to help others, especially during this time of year.

Thank you to everyone that came, gave toys, made a donation and had a good time with us. The box was filled with toys that will be donated to children of domestic violence survivors from the Powerful Beginnings organization.

Remember...

No matter how small the gift is, if it comes from a good place it will make a BIG difference.
Enjoy the REASON for the season and continue to... #ROCKon

Empowering Our Young Girls

Our Young Girls Have The Power...

This past Sunday, on RCR! Presents Real Discussions, we identified some of the challenges and opportunities in dealing with our young girls.

The Topic: Empowering Our Young Girls

My guests Lynda Lee Osbourne and Katina Cunningham were filled with ideas, solutions, and programs that could help our young girls navigate through this thing called life.

Feel free to check out part 1 and 2 of the show on my Facebook timeline and/or the Real Chicks Rock!™ YouTube Channel.

Thanks to Instinct Radio letting us have the dialogue.

Thank you, Lynda and Katina, for being so passionate about what you do, developing programs that promote character building and technical skills. We look forward to hearing more about your upcoming programs and supporting it any way we can.

Until next time...

Don’t give our children a lot of responsibility and take it back when it’s convenient for you.

Have conversations with your children on a regular and/or daily basis.

Create the change you want to see not only for your own children but for others as well.

And remember to continue to...#ROCKon
